Dessau is just a small town, but nervertheless quite famous:

Dessau was home to BAUHAUS, one of the most influential trends in architecture and handicrafts of the 20th century (to see what the BAUHAUS style looks like, have a look at this website):

The "movement" or style was founded in Dessau: Artits like Klee and Kandinsky worked there, as well as Walter Gropius and Mies van der Rohe. And they built the gallery-workshop, that you can still visit today - here the bauhaus website.

A guide will eplain everything, and then we´ll have lunch together at a restaurant overlooking river Elbe, which was designed by a Bauhaus architect: Kornhaus Dessau

After lunch another attraction is waiting for you: the beautiful landscape gardens of Wörlitz, just a 20 minute train ride away. Wörlitz is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and seeing the gsrdens, you´ll get an idea what feudal Germany must have been like.
