Agency: EduPlanet (formerly Språkpunkten)
Name: Clara Österberg
From: Uppsala, Sweden

?Since when do you work with GLS? How did it start?

!Språkpunkten started in the mid 20th a collaboration with different language schools in Berlin since the demand for langauge courses in Germany did increase. Though, GLS has ever since been a big favorite to us and for many of our students.

?Please describe your agency

!Since Språkpunkten was founded in 1982 we have helped over 20 000 students with their studies abroad (language travelling and higher education) and Språkpunkten is one of the major agencies in Sweden within this market. Språkpunkten work with 160 schools all over the world in countries such as Germany, France, Great Britain, Spain, Japan etcetera.

?Why do your clients book Berlin (and not other places in Germany)?

!Well, I guess it has to do with your rich history which makes Berlin a great and intresting city to choose as a study destination. You keep finding traces of the past everywhere you go. Berlin has been a trend setting destination for some years now and is also a good choice for shorter city weekends for Swedes. I think Berlin has everything to offer a student; modern and exciting history, an extraordinary night life and welcoming people! It´s only about 1,5 half hour flight from Stockholm too which makes it "an easy to get location" for us.

?What was the last time you met GLS staff? On a fair, a IALC roadshow...?

!At the IALC workshop 2013 in Lisbon and of course - in a couple of weeks at the ICEF Workshop Berlin in November 2013!

?Did you ever attend one of the GLS receptions after the Berlin workshop in November?

!Yes, several times. Great fun!

?Your impression of Berlin, especially the GLS district Prenzlauer Berg?

!You never get bored in Berlin! So many intresting spots to visit - both in the west and eastern part. Even though it´s a large city I find it very easy to go by U-bahn or bus, so the communications are excellent for being such a big city. Prenzlauer Berg itself is a cozy neighbour hood, many cafes and international restaurants among with beautfiful and typical berliner flats. All together it contributes to the special atmosphere of this place.

?What do you like/dislike about GLS?

!I think the questions should be "what does the students like/dislike about GLS". And to us it´s obvious that students are drawn to the school due to the great premesis of the campus, the accommodation options and restaurants provided. It´s also a big school in terms of students so it´s easy to make friends. Why settle for less!?

?Further comments? (Please, write "no" if you don't have)

! Please feel free to contact me or my colleagues at Språkpunkten for questions regarding GLS, the school, courses and accommodation options. We can also assist you with questions regarding CSN and how to apply for it.
